Cinco de Mayo

This week people all over America in towns on the coast of Maine, to the fields of Iowa, from the shores of Oregon to the Rio Grande, will celebrate a new traditional fun day in America, Cinco de Mayo. Americans never seem to shy away from a reason to celebrate, but unfortunately not many of us know what we, or our neighbors, are celebrating. If you took a sample survey on the street the majority of people would probably tell you that Cinco de Mayo is Mexico's Fourth of July.
