•Service Stars, signifying participation in a combat campaign, are worn on service medal ribbons, point of star upward.
•The bronze Arrowhead signifies that the wearer participated in a parachute jump, a glider landing, or an amphibious assault against enemy-held territory. The device is worn with the point upward and is placed to the right of all service stars.
•Oak Leaf Clusters are worn attached to the ribbons of the decorations to which they pertain with the stem of the oak leaves toward the wearer’s right.
•A bronze block letter “V” is worn on the drape of the Bronze Star Medal, the Air Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal to denote an award made for valor.
